Win4F README file.

What is Win4F ?

Win4F is a Windows 3.1 utility to allow you to give files a description
upto 80 characters in length. If like me you find 8 characters for a 
file name a bit restrictive then Win4F is for you. Win4F file descriptions
are fully compatable with 4DOS the popular command.com replacement.


How to install Win4F

From  the Windows File Manager simply double click on the file FINSTALL.EXE
you will then be asked which directory you wish to install to, press the Ok
button to accept the default or over type the default directory with one of
your choice. If the target directory does not exist then FINSTALL will create
it. FINSTALL will then copy/expand all the required files into the target
directory. FINSTALL will  advise you when installation is complete and ask if
you wish to run Win4F. I would recommend that press the Yes button and then 
when Win4F is running press the HELP button and view the Getting started section
to give you a step by step guide on the basic features of Win4F.


WIN4F IS SHAREWARE please read the licence agreement and if you find Win4F
useful and continue to use it PLEASE register your copy. When you register
you get Tech support advance notice of upgrades and other products plus the
satisfaction that you have helped keep the shareware principle alive.
